Meet Our Team

Mr Gillon is the head teacher. He studied English, P.E. and Music in college and likes to teach Maths, P.E. and History. He says that he likes all age groups (primary), and if he wasn’t teacher he would own a restaurant. He loves eating curry whilst watching his favourite TV programme, Match of the Day! Mr. Gillon is a huge Huddersfield Town fan and also likes Rugby League. He also enjoys playing bass guitar and the mandolin and cooking. He has two cats, (Scouse and Slinky) and 2 daughters called Eilidh & Rosslyn. Also, he has met a few pro footballers but no David Beckhams!

Miss Kemp is the deputy-head, teaches class 10 and her specialisms are ICT and Maths. Her favourite age group is 9 - 11 year olds. She enjoys teaching all subjects but especially likes history and maths. Her favourite TV programmes are Gilmore Girls, The Royal and Coronation Street.

The famous people she has met are Emma Williams, 'Truly Scrumptious' in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and she even had lunch with her! She has also met Colm Wilkinson, a London singer, who Miss Kemp sang with at the Royal Albert Hall. Her favourite food is Chinese and her hobbies are singing, reading and acting. If Miss Kemp was not a teacher she would like to work at Disney world in Florida.

 

Mrs Cook is the Assistant Head and teaches Class 2. She loves her job, but if she were not a teacher she would be a personal shopper for anyone and everybody. Her hobby is shopping and she has two cats. The subject that she likes to teach the most is maths and her specialities are R.E. and Art. She only likes school dinners on roast days. Her favourite T.V. programme is Emmerdale. Mrs Cook has met Fraser Hinds. When she was a child she wanted to be an air-hostess or a ballerina. If she could be anyone in the world she would be Claudia Shiffer.

 

This is the History Co-ordinator and the teacher of Class 5. Mr Dobson told us that if he was not a teacher he would be a computer expert! He enjoys his job, except for Mondays! His hobbies include: walking, watching football and gardening. He is a fanatical supporter of Halifax Town; in the past he has sponsored them. His favourite subject to teach is History and his speciality is Maths. He likes to teach 7-8 year olds. Mr Dobson says he really likes school dinners. His favourite T.V. programmes are Historical Dramas. When he was with Mrs Wood he met Jimmy Savile! If he could be anyone in the world he would be Richard Branson.

 

 

Mrs Logan is the ICT Manager. She takes recorder groups and the School Orchestra. Mrs Logan likes her job most of the time. She said she would like to be a musician if she was not a teacher. Her hobbies are motorcycling, reading, sewing and playing the piano. Her specialities are music and I.C.T. and she prefers to teach Juniors. Her favourite TV programme is Desperate Housewives. She has a ginger cat called Casper & 2 sons called Gavin and Alex. She has always wanted to be a teacher. When she was with Mrs Wood she met Jimmy Savile and if she could be anyone in the world, she would like to be Bill Gates. She doesn't eat chocolate!

 

 

This is one of the teachers of Class 1. She shares the class and works Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Mrs Robins really loves her job. If she were not a teacher, she would own a bookshop, as she loves books. She does not have any pets. She loves to teach Reception children and her favourite hobby is buying shoes. Her favourite subject to teach is R.E. Her specialty is making profiteroles. She absolutely adores school dinners and her favourite T.V Programme has to be E.R. We couldn't believe it when she said she had met the Queen in1989 and when she was little she always dreamed of becoming a doctor. The last question was a tough one for Mrs Robins, but if she had to meet anyone on Earth it would have to be a millionaire!

Class 3's teacher is also the PE Co-ordinator. She runs a netball club after school. Mrs Jordan likes her job very much, and if she were not a teacher she would own a chocolate factory. She has lots of hobbies including: aerobics, salsa dancing and playing sports. She loves to teach P.E, and it is her specialty. Mrs Jordan loves school dinners, especially Roast dinners. Her favourite T.V programme is Friends. She has also met the Lead singer of Agadoo!!! When she was young she wanted to be a stewardess. If she could meet anyone in the world it would be Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore!!!

Mrs Parker is currently teaching Class 3. Her hobbies are caravanning, cooking and going out with friends. Her favourite food is bacon sandwiches. She has 2 little boys called Zach and Ben and one dog. If she wasn't a teacher she would be a pharmacist. She once met Douglas Hurd the politician.
