Class 10

Mrs Rice
January/February
We are working on Forces and Action in Science and our main focus is the Second World War. We would welcome any artefacts or memories from 'great' grandparents.
This is a picture, which was in the hall, showing some of the art work done by Class 10.
February/March
We are continuing our World War Two topic and moving on to 50's 60 's etc. We will be learning about substance misuse and other dangers. This links nicely to our involvement in the Safety for life project where children will have the opportunity to experience real life situations and encourage them to develop coping strategies. More details to Y6 parents later.
Rujakat the Monster

Rujakat the monster, I made up last week.
A monster so scary, I'm now losing sleep.

Brussel sprout green, the shade of his eyes.
His belly is bloated, from too many pies.

His nails are long, broccoli green.
They're twisted and chalky, and never clean.

He has cobwebs for hair, all sticky and white.
It's never brushed, it'll give you a fright.

His feet are smelly, like pongy cheese.
'Leave your socks on PRETTY PLEASE!

So that's my monster, scary don't you think?
I'm ever so terrified and I'm hiding under the sink!

By Ruqiah, Katie & Jayne.
These are hats made in technology.
Class 10 did their assembly about Safety after their trip to 'Safety for Life'.
They pulled out all the stops and carried off their assembly with confidence and clarity.
Well done to them all, especially Grace who received an Oscar.
April/May
For the next few weeks Class 10 are revising Maths , English and Science subjects in preparation for the SATs. We are also continuing PSE focussing on sex education. In our introductory lesson the children displayed a mature and sensible approach to the information.
