G'day all! Well we finally made it to Australia. It was so exciting travelling over and we stayed in Singapore overnight. It was excellent to see our family at the airport, they had a big banner saying G'day Taker family!
We have found a new house and Ellie and Jess have started school at Woodside Primary School. They are settling in well, lots of sport and no assemblies!!!! It is beginning to get warm now. 31 degrees today and its only Spring. Hope we can cope in the summer. Hope you are all enjoying your new classes. Mrs Logan you are still doing a superb job of the website(looking good) When I finally get a job we will have to send you some emails. I will send some photos soon. Seen kangeroos in wild and held a koala, not seen crocs or snakes yet but not too bothered!!!!!

I would like to thank everyone who made my last weeks at school so special. The children who performed in the Wizard of Oz really made my last production something to be proud of. I had a lovely evening at Holdsworth House with colleagues and friends and finally I had a memorable leaving assembly on Friday.

Going to Llandudno was really good the best part was when we went bowling and when we went to the sea zoo.

Llandudno was great!
I enjoyed looking for creatures on the beach at Anglesea sea zoo.
It was fantastic.
And the slate mine was really interesting but some of my friends didnt like it because they were scared of the dark!

Llanduddno was very good, I really enjoyed the food in the hotel. The best day was when we went to find fish and crabs in the rock pools. I felt sad when Mrs Logan slipped. Hope to see you soon!

I really enjoyed the Llandudno trip, the best day was when we went down the mines... it was sooo dark! I liked Beaumaris Castle too. IT WAS A GREAT TRIP.

I enjoyed going to Llandudno . I liked the sea zoo. The hotel was nice. I shared a room with Bethany and we had a midnight feast. The seagulls kept us awake for 10 minutes. Thank you to all the teachers.

Hya everyone llandudno was really fun. I stayed in the Cumberland Hotel. The food was really nice and the view was great. The sea was clear and there was a rock the shape of a elephant. I was in room 10 with my friends, Amber and Libby. We went down the slate mines and had walks on the beach and lots more.

Llandudno was fantastic, the best trip I've been on.

I enjoyed Llandudno. I liked the toboggan run and Anglsey Sea Zoo. My room was small, but I liked it and we had a midnight feast. The breakfast was ace. Some of my friends went on the early morning walk. When we came back my brother said that he had missed me.

LLANDUDNO IS ACE. WHEN YOU ARE A YEAR 6, GO IT IS SO COOL!

Llandudno was ace the bedroom was wicked. I shared a room with Hannah and Amber we had a sea view. The hotel we stayed in was called the Cumberland we stayed in number 10. The bathroom was great.

Llandudno was FAB, and the hotel was great !!!!!

Llandudno was good. The best thing was the tobbogan and bowling. I liked the hotel, the food was very nice. We went on the early morning walk. We had 20 pounds to spend on toys and nice things. We went to the adventure playground it was good. We went up the Great Orme on a tram.

Oh my Gosh! I left Shelf J&I in 1990, is it really that long ago? I wonder if anyone remebers me, I certainly remember Mr. Dobson, Mrs. Logan and Mrs. Popplewell. How lovely to see so many old faces! And also to see so many new *smiling* faces (well new to me!). I wonder if anyone else remembers Mrs. Rushworth (such a lovely caring lady), and Mrs Gibson (very scarey to a 7 year old, but also such a wonderful teacher).I am so impressed with this site and all the extra-cirriculum activities, FAB. Maybe I should thank Shelf J&I for a good Primary education as I gained good GCSE's A-Levels and a first class degree in Classical Studies. I choose Classics as it reminded me of carpet time! Also I am currently working as a Teaching Assistant in Manchester, and seeing life 'from the other side' is a big eye-opener! Finally I would like to mention that I am hoping to train as a Primary school teacher myself - why because I loved my Primary education! Thanks, Ginette x

When I left left Shelf J&I School in 1965 - they hadn't invented the Internet!

The school is great and even though I will not be here next year, I will still miss all the teachers, espeacially Mr Reynolds. I would like to thank all the teachers that I have had:Mrs Greenwood, Miss Broadbent, Mrs Wood, Mrs Jordan, Mrs Robinson, Mr Cook and Mrs Rice. I really enjoyed browsing the website, super. I went to the school from 1961 to 1967 and I have some very happy memories of the school. I am now a teacher at a secondary school in Essex. By the way, did you know that John Noakes, the ex Blue Peter presenter, was a pupil at the school.

If you are all wondering who I am, I was a pupil at the school from 1960 to 1966. I am now a secondary school teacher teaching D and T and I live in Essex. Just arrived back from The Deep with Miss Greenwood's class. No one was eaten by a shark and all the children were beautifully behaved. The lady in the education department was very impressed with the children's knowledge of sea creatures. Well done class 3!

Just for the record - one of my cats is called Seoul not Soul (I got my tabby during the Seoul Olympics in 1988).
